For the Love of Rum!

The most important thing about rum is the process of making the spirit. The shifts to going back to the original processes with no additives, or coloring is key. Even the changes in age statements are true to the time in the barrel versus the solera method of stating the age of the rum. The growth in the spirit over the last 3-5 years, in my belief, is a result of this process. I am a true rum enthusiast.  I am by no means an expert… but, my love for the spirit has a great respect for the process. I am asked a lot about the differences in rum and to please do tastings with the different processes and approaches to making an amazing spirit, so here is your chance to join me in the Cellars to learn about the influence and influencers of the rum you drink. Learning the various influences like molasses versus sugar cane, the island or continent that it is made, column still or pot still, etc. all influence the outcome. Which rums/rhum make the best cocktails? With all of that in mind we are going take four different rums made in four different ways with both sugar cane, molasses, and a blend of both This promises to be a fun experience in the world of rum. Space is limited, so sign up early. There will be no refunds due to limited seating.
