Heaven Hill Experience – From Birth To Bottle

Nestled in the heart of Historic Bardstown, Heaven Hill Distillery has built a bourbon experience like no other. Since founding the distillery in 1935, the Shapira brothers committed to time needed to mature great bourbon. From that beginning to today’s second largest holder of stored barrels, the commitment has never waned to distill and age great bourbon. We are excited to welcome Adam Sewell from Heaven Hill to the Cellars for what promises to be an amazing experience. We will taste our way from birth to bottle of one of the most iconic whiskies. During this Heaven Hill experience, we’ll be tasting through ascending age statements of Old Fitzgerald to taste how juice evolves. This exercise will give us a better understanding of how bourbon tastes as it progresses from infancy to maturity: The age progression will be Old Fitzgerald 2 year, 4 year, 6 year, and 8 year. You will get to experience the impact of time on whiskey as the flavors develop from the influence of the barrel. You will also get to taste the most recent release of Larceny Barrel Proof Bourbon. Who knows, we may even have a surprise aged whiskey from Old Fitzgerald to also taste.
