The story began more than 15 years ago in Oaxaca at a wedding where mezcal was served. One of the owners became fascinated with the spirit and set out on a venture to discover mezcal… and the rest they say is history. The love for mezcal has changed dramatically in recent years among spirit lovers. The growth in the spirit continues along with the exploration of the terrain, varieties, distillation, and denomination of origin. Through the process, Mezcal De Leyendas has produced some truly amazing mezcals that can’t be missed. They have explored the production methods that allow the agave flavors to shine, as the mezcal features a clean, non-smoked, flavor profile. There are more than 200 agave species recognized in the world, however less than 30 are commonly used to produce mezcal. Leyendas has been experimenting with some rare and interesting agaves to produce some of the most unique mezcals in the market, and now is your chance to try this amazing spirit. So, join us on the journey that is mezcal.
