THE BACKROADS OF SCOTLAND

Four Underrated Scotches Worth Discovering

Everybody knows the big names in Scotch.

Macallan. Glenfiddich. Glenlivet. Lagavulin. Johnnie Walker.

And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with them.

But Scotland has a whole lot more to offer.

For this tasting, Jim is getting off the main road and digging a little deeper into the Scotch shelves to find four whiskies that he thinks deserve a lot more attention than they get.

No trophy bottles. No bottle chosen because it has the most recognizable label.

Just four really good Scotches that Jim believes more whisky drinkers should know about.

THIS ONE IS ABOUT DISCOVERY.

One of the things that makes Scotch so interesting is just how much variety exists once you start exploring beyond the familiar names.

A distillery you’ve barely heard of can produce an absolutely beautiful whisky. A bottle you’ve walked past a dozen times might turn out to be the one you like best. And sometimes a $60 or $80 bottle can surprise you more than something considerably more expensive.

Those are the bottles we’re looking for.

Jim will hand-select all four Scotches for this tasting based on one simple question:

“Why aren’t more people drinking this?”

We’ll taste them side by side, talk about where they come from, how they’re made, what makes each one interesting, and—most importantly—whether they deserve a spot on your own Scotch shelf.

And because Jim is choosing the lineup himself, expect a few bottles that may not normally be on your radar.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE A SCOTCH EXPERT.

In fact, this might be an even better tasting if you’re not.

If you already love Scotch, this is a chance to get away from the bottles everybody already knows and hopefully discover something new.

If you’re still figuring out what kind of Scotch you like, we’ll explore four different bottles together and talk through exactly what we’re tasting along the way.

No pretension. No need to know the difference between Speyside and Campbeltown before you walk through the door.

Just come ready to taste.

THE FOUR BOTTLES?

Jim’s working on them.

And that’s part of the fun.

He’s going through the Cellars and hand-picking four Scotches he believes are overlooked, underrated or simply don’t get the attention they deserve.

Come take the backroads with us.

You might just discover your next favorite Scotch—and there’s a pretty good chance it’ll be a bottle you weren’t looking for.

No refunds due to limited seating.
